Vision, Mission & Objectives

Vision:

  • To work among the most disadvantaged and remote communities to promote local infrastructures, micro-lending enterprises, and ensure all men, women, and children have access to quality education and healthcare.

Mission:

  • To facilitate lifelong, positive changes in the lives of men, women, and children by implementing programs which create sustainable solutions to the challenges arising from extreme poverty and social inequality.

Strategy:

  • SHELTER will provide immediate disaster relief to affected communities during periods of emergency with aftermath reconstruction.

  • SHELTER will achieve this through a multifaceted approach that promotes the education, health, and personal and financial security of children, their families, and their communities.

Objectives:

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

  • To establish institutions for primary, secondary & Higher education in the rural areas of Pakistan.

  • To facilitate and assist the village community to organize Village Development Committees (VDCs) to undertake surveys, to identify problems, formulate small projects and implement the development programmes / projects.

  • To train the VDCs to improve their management capacity and expertise in formulation & implementation of schemes for agricultural sustainable development using available indigenous resources.

  • To carry out research on various aspects of rural development.

  • To foster and develop contacts with rural development organizations both in Pakistan and abroad to share knowledge and experience.

  • Acting as a think-tank to organize seminars, workshops, forums to discuss and document the deliberations on different rural development issues

  • To publish and disseminate information to member NGOs/CBOs (National/ Int’l Network.

  • To train the VDCs to improve their management capacity and expertise in formulation of small projects.

  • To carry out research on various aspects of rural development.

  • To foster and develop contacts with rural development organizations both in Pakistan and abroad to share knowledge and experience.

  • Acting as a think-tank to organize seminars, workshops, forums in cooperation with well reputed and experienced organizations to discuss and document the deliberations on different rural development issues.
